About Us
Meet the Founder, Jackie May Johnson
My greatest blessing is my family, especially my husband, our four sons and their wives, and of course our eight grandchildren.
I love exploring the world, and we’ve been incredibly fortunate to have traveled to many countries over the years, always eager to connect with new people.
My upbringing—filled with singing with my mom and sisters—shaped my devotional life. My favorite time is spent in worship, journaling with the Lord and reading inspiring books. Coming from a family of nurses, I’m fascinated by the body’s healing process and love studying fitness and proper nutrition.
My true passion is serving others through prayer, writing, teaching, and preaching, with a special focus on helping people discover and walk in their divine calling—to bring glory to God.
Our Vision
The heart of Encourage & Rescue (E&R) is twofold:
to encourage believers and to rescue the lost.
Encouragement – This branch of the ministry focuses on equipping and strengthening the Body of Christ. Through teaching and training, we cover areas such as hearing God’s voice, discovering destiny, prophecy, dream interpretation, and practical skills like writing and self-publishing books. Our goal is to build up believers and help them walk fully in their calling.
Rescue – This branch of the ministry is evangelistic in nature. It is dedicated to bringing freedom and deliverance through prayer, intercession, and ministry. We also lead outreach teams into communities, events, and locations to bring hope and share the gospel with the lost.
How Our Journey Began
Jackie’s journey began as a French teacher, while Bob trained as an accountant. Their paths crossed in the early 1980s while serving in the U. S. Peace Corps in the small country of Lesotho in Southern Africa. It was during this time that Jackie gave her life to the Lord, and together, she and Bob began a lifelong journey of serving Him.
In 1985 they relocated to Oklahoma to attend Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, preparing for the ministry God had placed on their hearts. After graduation, their calling led them to Egypt, where they faithfully served for 14 years. In 2004, they returned to the United States, carrying with them a wealth of experiences, a deep passion to share God’s love, and a unique gifting as dream interpreters to equip and encourage the Body of Christ.
