About Us

Meet the Founder, Jackie May Johnson

My greatest blessing is my family, especially my husband, our four sons and their wives, and of course our eleven grandchildren.

I love exploring the world, and we’ve been incredibly fortunate to have traveled to many countries over the years; I always enjoying meeting new people.

My upbringing—filled with singing with my mom and sisters—shaped my devotional life. My favorite time is spent in worship, journaling with the Lord and reading inspiring books. Coming from a family of nurses, I’m fascinated by the body’s healing process and love studying fitness and proper nutrition.

My true passion is bringing glory to God, through serving Him and serving others—by praying, writing, teaching, and preaching, with a special focus on helping people discover and walk in their divine calling.

Our Vision

The heart of Encourage & Rescue (E&R) is twofold:
to encourage believers and to rescue the lost.

  • Encouragement – This branch of the ministry focuses on equipping and strengthening the Body of Christ. Through teaching and training, we cover areas such as hearing God’s voice, discovering destiny, prophecy, dream interpretation, and practical skills like writing and self-publishing books. Our goal is to build up believers and help them  walk fully in their calling.

  • Rescue – This branch of the ministry is evangelistic in nature. It is dedicated to bringing freedom and deliverance through prayer, intercession, and ministry. We also lead outreach teams into communities, events, and locations to bring hope and share the gospel with the lost.

How Our Journey Began

Jackie began her career as a French teacher, while Bob trained as an accountant. Their paths crossed in 1978 while serving in the U.S. Peace Corps in Lesotho, a small country in Southern Africa. It was there in 1981 that Jackie committed her life to the Lord.

Jackie and Bob were married in Lesotho in 1982, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey of marriage and ministry.

In 1985, they relocated to Oklahoma to attend Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, to prepare for the ministry God placed on their hearts. Following Jackie’s graduation in 1990, their calling led them to Egypt, where they faithfully served for 14 years.

In 2004, they returned to the United States, bringing with them a wealth of experience and a deep passion to share God’s love. During that time, they were privileged to study and practice dream interpretation and prophetic ministry under the late prophet John Paul Jackson.

Also in 2004, Jackie had a defining moment in which one morning she heard the Lord say, “E & R.” When she asked what that meant, the Lord replied, “Encourage and Rescue,” “That’s the name of your ministry.” From this encounter the ministry was birthed.

Since then, they have been actively teaching and equipping believers in both Christian dream interpretation and the prophetic ministry. In addition, they have led many evangelistic teams both within the local church and in collaboration with various ministries and congregations. They continue to write books, workbooks and develop classes for Encourage and Rescue.

The Johnsons currently attend and are ordained at Harvest Church in Broken Arrow, where they lead the Dream Interpretation Ministry.

Jackie May’s passion is in equipping believers to find their destiny and training outreach teams to do the works of Jesus.

Jackie’s personal testimony of salvation is nothing short of remarkable. In her rescue story, she takes readers on a “Hobbit-like” adventure that spans from the Eiffel Tower to the Pyramids of Egypt, through South Africa, and back again. Jackie and her husband, Bob, share a remarkable 44-year marriage that includes 20 years of living and working overseas. They have four grown sons and lovely daughters-in-law and eleven adorable grandchildren.

Bob Johnson

Bob brings a unique blend of financial expertise and spiritual gifting to the ministry, where he serves as Jackie’s right hand and treasurer. Trained and experienced as an accountant, he ensures the organization’s stability. Beyond his administrative roles, Bob is a talented Bible teacher and author. He is particularly gifted in dream interpretation and the prophetic, actively participating in all ministry outreaches. Bob’s creative work includes a published Christian fiction novel, and he is currently developing several children’s books. In his personal time, he enjoys fishing, tinkering in his garage, and cherishing moments playing games with his family and grandchildren.

Sue Patruska

Sue discovered a passion for dream interpretation early in her Christian journey. She loves taking part in outreaches, using dream interpretation as a meaningful way to connect with those who have yet to experience Christ’s love. Sue and her husband, Steve, have been married for 38 years and are proud parents to a daughter and son-in-law. They treasure their role as grandparents to one beloved grandchild.

Brenda Collins

Brenda serves as our lead intercessor, faithfully standing in the gap on behalf of this ministry. She is passionate about praying the Word of God and engaging in prophetic intercession. Additionally, she possesses a notable gift for dream interpretation.
